Luis Santiago Pinto, CEO of Powerdot, and Matthieu Dischamps, General Manager of France, were recently invited to the Choose France summit organized by President Emmanuel Macron in Versailles. The summit brought together more than 200 CEOs of international companies that invest the most in France on Monday, May 15. It was an opportunity for Powerdot to renew its commitment to France and its ambition to improve the charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in the country through destination charging.
With more than 1,200 charging points already installed in the country, France is today the largest Powerdot network in Europe. The summit was also an opportunity for Powerdot to announce major commitments to strengthen its growth in France in the years to come: 140 million euros will be invested in the French market by 2025 and 8,000 charging points installed (in addition to the 1,200 already installed), which represents more than 200 direct and indirect jobs in France.
“France’s commitment to the transition to electric mobility is very inspiring,” stated Luis Santiago Pinto. “The deployment of charging infrastructure will be decisive in the adoption of electric vehicles by the greatest number. We are convinced that we can play a central role in this transition by partnering with French retailers and installing charging stations at places where French people stop naturally”, he said.
