Powerdot, a European leader in electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, and UTA Edenred, one of Europe’s main mobility service providers, have announced a strategic partnership at the European level.
This agreement enables users of UTA Edenred’s UTA eCharge® e-mobility solution to access around 8,000 Powerdot charging points across four countries: France, Spain, Belgium, and Poland.
Powerdot’s fast and ultra-fast charging stations will now be part of UTA Edenred’s extensive public charging network, which currently includes more than 925,000 charging points across 28 European countries, including 108,000 in Belgium. An additional 8,000 Powerdot stations are currently under installation and will become operational in the coming months.
Powerdot charging stations serve both private cars and light commercial vehicles. They are equipped with CCS (Combined Charging System) and Type 2 connectors, as well as CHAdeMO plugs, enabling charging speeds of up to 200 kW. All stations are located in high-traffic public areas to ensure optimal accessibility, including supermarkets, restaurants, retail parks, and shopping centres.
Powerdot stations integrated into the UTA Edenred charging network can be easily found using the UTA eCharge® smartphone app. Charging can be paid for either via the UTA electronic card or directly through the UTA eCharge® app.
Pierre Jalady, General Manager Mobility EMEA at Edenred and CEO of UTA Edenred, stated:
“The UTA eCharge public charging network is one of the largest in Europe, providing our EV-driving customers with high-density coverage for a smooth and efficient experience, whether locally or while travelling across borders. Our cooperation with Powerdot, the largest independent charging point operator in Europe, is a valuable addition to our global charging offer.”
Luis Santiago Pinto, CEO of Powerdot, added:
“Powerdot’s mission is to bring fast and ultra-fast charging to the places where people shop, dine, and travel. Thanks to our collaboration with UTA Edenred, drivers can now access charging even more easily while going about their daily lives. This partnership strengthens our shared goal: to make electric mobility smoother, more accessible, and more convenient for everyone.”
