Your Responsibilities: 

As People Operations for France, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless HR operations, compliance, and employee support. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Collaboration
    • Partner with employees and leadership to foster a culture of teamwork.
    • Act as a trusted advisor on HR policies, labor law compliance, and best practices.
  • Hiring & Onboarding
    • Draft employment agreements ensuring compliance with local labor laws.
    • Support new employees with access to tools, materials, policies, and mandatory training required for their roles.
  • Payroll & Benefits
    • Communicate benefits information to employees and manage enrollment and claims.
    • Oversee employee holiday tracking and payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and handling any payroll-related inquiries.
  • Employee Relations & Compliance
    • Ensure adherence to labor laws and internal regulations.
    • Maintain compliance with health and safety standards.
    • Follow up on labor cases and liaise with unions or labor collectives as needed.
    • Manage and prepare for audits and generate compliance reports.
  • Offboarding & Termination
    • Review termination requests and recommend best practices for legal and procedural compliance.
    • Ensure proper documentation and execution of terminations.
    • Oversee offboarding interviews and ensure a smooth transition for departing employees.
  • HR Systems & Data Management
    • Ensure all employment changes are recorded in BambooHR and maintain data accuracy in critical fields.
    • Monitor contract expiration dates and ensure necessary updates.
  • Talent Development & Performance Management
    • Support career development initiatives, including succession planning and career path guidance.
    • Oversee probation period evaluations and performance improvement plans.
  • Compensation & Benefits Analytics
    • Support budget alignment and forecast reviews related to HR initiatives.
  • The Candidate We Are Looking For
    • (Must-Have) Languages: Fluent in French and English.
    • (Must-Have) Knowledge: Understanding of French labour law, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
    • Experience: 3+ years in an HR role, preferably in People Operations, HR Generalist, or HRBP roles.
    • Tech-savvy: Experience with HRIS (BambooHR preferred) and payroll systems.
    • Mindset: Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Autonomy & Ownership: You are self-directed, motivated, and comfortable working independently to achieve impactful results. You take initiative, tackle challenges head-on, and deliver meaningful outcomes.
